Taksh, located in prime location – has a refreshing ambiance which has a touch of luxury and royalty. We were invited here for the tasting session and the bill was on the house. Below review is unbiased and true to taste for the benefit of readers and restaurant.
Dinner started with their signature soups Chicken Clear soup, Chicken Silver Soup and Chicken Lemon Coriander Soup. Out of the bunch, I liked Chicken Silver Soup which was topped with egg white omelette and it tasted great. Others tasted Okish.
Also served with their signature mocktail Blue Island Sea, which tasted refreshing and was awesome.
We were served with range of Starters which had Chef Special Kebab, Dragon Chicken,Szechwan fish,Afgani Murgh, Angari Murgh Tikka and Lucknowi Tikka. I loved the dragon chicken which had mild spice and prepared to perfection. Also loved their Angari Murgh Tikka with right amount of spices added to it and a super soft chicken which elevated the taste.Lucknowi Murgh Tikka is a speciality dish which is stuffed with variants of spices which lifted the spirits of a dead chicken 😉 . Tasted delicious. Other starters were either OK or the chicken was not very well cooked/kebabed. Tava Pompret was a show stealer as it had rightly full fried pompret fish and tasted scrumptious. As it was full pompret, it was bound to have thorns/bones something I’m not very good at handling, as a result , I could only have a little of it. On special request , was brought in Tandoori chicken which was juicy and sumptuous.
Main Course had Dum Ka Murgh and Miryala Mamsam. Accompanied by bread basket(which btw, were delicious).
Dum ka Murgh had a very rich gravy and the creamy flavor dominated it. I loved the taste of the gravy. Though I think that it could have been a little spicier, given the tag of Dum (#myopinion), however I still enjoyed it.
Miryala Mamsam though I expected it to be spicy because of miryalu in it (a strong flavor of Pepper), the dish still had the charisma in it and it was truly heavenly. Mutton could have been more juicier.
Also had Ulavacharu Kodi Pulav and Gadwal kodi Pulav. While Ulavacharu Kodi Pulav is one of the best I had, Gadwal could have been a little more better.
Part of the desserts that I had were Gajar ka Halwa,Gulab Jamun,Kala Jamun and Caramel Custard. All of them tasted good with correct portions sugar added to it. Caramel Custard dint impress me though. No dessert had a WOW factor, and they could use one.
Overall a satisfactory dining experience. Using some ‘WOW’ dishes could definitely lift the restaurant spirits. Not that they dont have one, but they could add few more into their kitty. You could definitely visit this place and have a memorable dining experience.
