Tatva

I know very few fine dine places which serves delicious food along with ambiance and service, that too in Veg 😀 . Here comes one such among the rare lot – “Tatva” , opened couple of months ago in the upmarket jubilee hills, is creating a lot of buzz with its delicious food and ambiance. Soon after I entered the place, I was awestruck with their amazing ambiance. That elegant lighting, that motor toys around, seating, that luxury dining experience, beautiful PDR’s almost all of them were ticked off to excellency. They do have 2 separate sections for cafe and restaurant, they however do combine them depending on the demand they have and can accommodate upto 120-130 pax.

Price Factor: While soups are priced within 200, starters go upto 400 starting at 250. Main course has a minimum pricing of 350 and could go upto 450. Desserts were around 300. Cost for 2 could be anywhere around 1600-1800 AI.

Food:

Presentation/plating of the starters is no less and has impressed in that area too. Below goes my dining experience.

Appetizers :

Creme Broccoli made of freshly blanched/blended broccoli finishing up to a mild cream based soup and delicious in taste.

Hot and Sour Soup, a refreshing and soothing soup, definitely relieves from your cold during winters, has come out very well and was good.

Jalapeno Poppers is one of those delicious dishes, 3 cheese blended with jalapenos and shaped in pyramid style and deep fried was melting in your mouth after the first byte. I could still feel the awesomeness that it carried in it. Chilli Mayo along with it complements the dish very well.

Smoked Pesto Paneer Tikka ,a twist of Italian basil pesto to Indian tandoor spices accompanied roasted cottage cheese to ‘WOW’ factor. Loved them.

Gnocchi Arrabbiata is the killer dish of the night with super soft gnochhi and delicious basil arrabbiata sauce, everytime I look at the pic of the dish, I get tempted to visit this place just for this dish 🙂

Paneer Khurchan from the Indian lot is a dish prepared with fresh and soft cottage cheese along with tomato puree which is pan fried with Indian sauces and bends to sweeter side. Though the taste was good, I would have liked it less sweeter.

Dal Tadka was another amazing dish of the night which reminded us of a typical dhaba style tadka with more yummy flavor added to it. Completed this dish in a jiffy with Jeera rice.

Desserts:

Paan Tantra using molecular gastronomy for presentation, this ice cream is the best way to end the dish which has beetel leaf paste in ice cream which is prepared in house and blended very well with ghulkand and sauf/fennel seeds. Though the menu says lychee presence in it, I missed that part in the dish. It did stand true to original taste. Had the sauf usage was less, it would have been a killer.

Banofee layered with choco sponge and a layer of banana and whip cream and topped with a thin layer of toffee is different from a regular banofee preperation and was delicious. Kaju chikki acted as a lid to this amazing dish and tasted equally good.

Service: Chef Naveen Nagaraj has personally taken care of the preparations of the food and did wonders in the department. The serving staff also did an amazing job with prompt and quick response around.

Plus Points:

  • Amazing ambiance.
  • Delicious Food.
  • Wide range of dishes available

Improvements:

  • Serving sizes could be improved

Verdict:

A worthy place for every penny you spend. Totally in love with this place with every aspect. Wait no more to visit this gem.
